CARENAGE BAY AND GOLF CLUB
CLOSED 07MAY02
Dear Travel Partner,
Re: Carenage Bay temporarily closes on May 7, 2002I want you to be one of the first to know that Carenage Bay will temporarily close its doors on May 7, 2002. The resort anticipates reopening in 2003 with its facilities and services restored to ultra-luxury five star standards including the completion of the redesigned Championship 18-hole Jim Fazio Golf Course.
In view of our termination of Rosewood Hotels & Resorts as the operator of Carenage Bay, we find it imperative to cease operations, re-group, perform necessary maintenance, and reestablish an effective sales and marketing network. We will be taking the resort to a higher level in standard of facilities and services in keeping with the original vision for Carenage Bay.
We will miss not having your clients at Carenage Bay, but for your clients who want to return to Canouan or those that want to discover our island for the first time, I would like to recommend our sister resort Tamarind Beach Hotel. It is loaded with Caribbean charm and has a beautiful beachfront location. Many of our star Carenage Bay employees will be reassigned to Tamarind for wonderful warm and friendly service and you can still use some of the Carenage Bay facilities including tennis courts, Godahl Beach water sports. As soon as our plans are finalized, I will be announcing when we will resume accepting reservations for 2003. ( For more information, follow this website for up-dates. )
I wish to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and we look forward to welcoming your clients to Carenage Bay in the coming year.Yours truly,
Bruce P. Hearn
