Here's the Way to
travel by local boat
between
Union
Island > and Carriacou
and return same day to Union
Departing Union Island every MONDAY and THURSDAY @07:30
to Carriacou....... then same day
Departing Carriacou @12:30 returning to Union Island.
The trip takes about one hour.
US$6/person/one-way
(EC$ 15.00)
Passengers arriving Union Island must pay EC$10 to Customs for Entry.
Passengers departing Carriacou pay EC$1 to Immigration.
Many people have also asked about the possibility to
travel
between Union Island and St. Vincent by HIGH-SPEED boat.
ALWAYS check the schedule before travelling as it
changes.

The Belgish owner picked me up from The Anchorage Yacht Club and a quick drive "up and over" to the north side and we come to Belmont Bay and Union Island's newest hotel. One look and you'll know why the locals call this beach

It's been a rather quiet week here on Union
Island.
Been maintaining the daily regime of snorkeling from The
Anchorage Yacht Club
around to the end of the island in front of their Beach

With the coming of the month of May
the DRY SEASON continues...
but the HIGH SEASON for tourism is finished.
While our weather is actually year-round perfect,
it seems The Grenadines have become a part of that notion,
silly actually, that the BEST time to visit a destination can be
boxed-in by a start date of 15 December and a finish date of May 1st.
But that is how it nonetheless seems to work.
Airlines drop flights or otherwise reduce scheduled service.
Businesses cut-back on staff and their services normally offered.
Hotels drop rates below their cost to bring in a little hard cash to
survive
...until the start of the HIGH SEASON on December 15th.
Strange.
But anyway.
I guess what I am trying to say is that the weather's fine down here
in The Grenadines, so
