Bequia's Old Fort
The Old Fort COUNTRY INN
What distinguishes the Old Fort from its competitors?
The dramatic mountaintop setting overlooking the Atlantic
(most of Bequia's inns are on the waterfront in Port Elizabeth);
the architecture -- reconstructed stone archways and walls, heavy handmade wood doors and rafters;  and the cuisine, a potpourri of West Indian, French, and German fare,  with most of the ingredients grown on the property.

As a villa rental The Old Fort will be closed to the public. You will have exclusive use of the entire property and estate house with 5 double rooms. A household staff of 4 including the hotel's chef will cater to your every need. The proprietor resides in a private cottage on the estate and is always available to assist you in any way. A rental vehicle can be arranged upon request. Local market shopping and provisioning will be handled by staff as part of the service. The cost of the food and beverages, however, is additional and will be added to the final bill. Daily menu planning will be in consultation with the guests, if desired.

The Villas on Mustique

A private island resort
of 49 extraordinary rental houses,
with nine beaches, horseback riding, tennis,  sailing, windsurfing, scuba.
Poolside and seaside open-air dining.

Spaced thoughtfully over a 1400-acre island preserve, each villa tastefully reflects the West Indies
environment of Mustique Island. They are now available for occupancy by discriminating guests who would
enjoy hillside and seascape surroundings of great natural beauty.

In 1968, a change of policy opened Mustique to outsiders who were willing to preserve the Island's original character. An economic development agreement was entered into between the government of St.Vincent and The Mustique Company. The agreement covered a broad spectrum of innovative fiscal and social plans including strategies to encourage tourism and the building of private homes, but numbering no more than 140. The plan, which was renewed in amended form in 1989, transformed Mustique Island from a family estate into a community of people dedicated to maintaining and enhancing their shares of the land for generations to come.
Mustique has retained its privacy and tranquility. Protecting the environment and the peaceful way of life is of paramount importance to all who live and vacation here. It is one of the cleanest and most secure places in the world.

S/Y FalconS/Y Falcon... is an elegant 85' Formosa pilothouse ketch which can accommodate up to 10 guests in five spacious private air-conditioned cabins, each with en suite head and shower. She is equipped with a full complement of water recreation equipment, and upon special request, a divemaster is available for SCUBA certification or sport diving. She is manned by a professional crew of 3... including chef de cuisine. Falcon has 5 individually airconditioned staterooms, each with its own head and shower. Each cabin also has a single overhead berth which can accomodate additional luggage or small children. The two foreward and aft staterooms are separated by a sliding partition which can be removed to create large double-sized cabins. Each stateroom is individually airconditioned with its own controls, and each has individual AM-FM stereo cassette units. For more than a decade, Falcon has been famous across the Caribbean for the extraordinary cuisine which she offers to her charter guests, whether served below in the dining salon or around the full-size cockpit table on deck. Our crew of three will be there ... unassumingly ... for your every whim.  We'll pick you up at the airport, open a bottle of champage, and whisk you off to FALCON and settle you into the large aft double stateroom. It's
private, isolated from the rest of the boat, is individually airconditioned, has its own FM/stereo system, and conveniently has his-and-hers private heads, each with its own shower. Relax and unwind....After a brief afternoon sail to your first anchorage ... just off a palm-lined sandy beach ... perhaps you'll enjoy a swim ashore and a walk among the palms to work up an appetite for the fabulous appetizers which Chef Lisa DeSanto will have ready when you swim - or just float - back to the boat. Perhaps more champagne ... or an exotic tropical rum drink mixed by Captain Chris Gruver, himself a notable former-chef. This might be a good time to talk about the possibilities for your week ahead. Those possibilities are almost endless. Whether you just want to be quietly alone together, or work on your windsurfing technique, paddle around the shallows in an ocean kayak, or blast around the bay on a slalom ski behind FALCON's high-speed tender, it's all there for you. If snorkeling in crystal-clear Caribbean water is your thing, or if serious SCUBA diving is your passion, Chris is a certified Divemaster who can take you on a tour of the spectacular underwater scenery that's almost always just below wherever FALCON anchors.
Outside diningYour first quiet dinner will be lit by hurricane lamps at the large table under FALCON's cockpit awning, and Chef Lisa's spectacular "FalconFare" will redefine haute cuisine for you ... accompanied by fine European and California wines, and accompanied by your choice of music from FALCON's large CD library. Or maybe just the sound of water lapping against the hull will be your preferred dinner music. After dinner you might just want to lounge under the stars with a snifter of  cognac in the big double hammock suspended over FALCON's pilothouse. Perhaps one day Chris and Lisa can drop you off on a deserted islet with a huge lunch, wine, a blanket, towels, and a beach umbrella. They'll give you a hand-held radio and anchor FALCON discreetly just out of sight until you call to be picked up. A delicious afternoon alone. Or maybe some shopping and sightseeing on Bequia ... lunch on Mustique, or take a rigorous hike to enjoy the flora and fauna of the Tobago Cays Marine Park. Perhaps you'd like to take a round of golf on Canouan or a dip in perhaps the largest fresh water swimming pool in the Caribbean. ... take your choice. At night you can relax quietly under the stars, or the crew will take you on  a comprehensive tour of the  beach bars ... like Basil's on Mustique... or maybe you'd like to dance to a steel band on Carriacou ... or just enjoy a night doing absolutely nothing at Chatham Bay on Union Island where no man-made electricity detracts from the light of the stars above you.

We'll work closely with you to plan your cruise. It's your choice, but wherever you'd like to do, it will be on your own luxurious 85' yacht with spectacular food, an endless supply of champagne, and a professional, sophisticated crew dedicated to creating a romantic Caribbean escape you will always remember.
